Know the Pad
Questions We Get Asked (A Lot)
We love curiosity, here’s what most people want to know before or after trying a flushable pad.
Does the pad contain plastic?
There’s no conventional plastic. A small component functions like plastic for performance but is made from naturally derived, biodegradable materials, safe for your body and the planet.
What materials do you use?
The pad is made from plant-based, biodegradable materials. Some components dissolve in water, others decompose naturally: no synthetic plastics, no hidden pollutants.
How long can I wear it?
We recommend changing the pad every 4-6 hours, just like any other sanitary pad, to maintain hygiene.
How do I know it won’t clog my toilet?
Our pad is designed to break down in large volumes of water- fast. You can see it start dissolving in our demo videos, and it happens even faster in a real toilet where water flow is stronger. We’ve tested the pad across different plumbing systems and found no clogging, no residue. Unlike conventional pads with plastic that block pipes, this one flushes away safely.
How do I know it really works?
We’ve spent years testing in the lab and with real users. Over 100 women have tried the pad during their period, and it holds up comfortably. For flushing, it breaks down in water and clears with a few flushes.
Is it safe to use?
Yes. The pad has passed extensive safety checks, including cytotoxicity tests for skin safety. It’s certified by MIS, a leading Swiss lab, and meets international safety standards.
Will flushing it pollute the water system?
No. The pad breaks down into plant-based particles that decompose within weeks. It’s designed to be safe for household plumbing and sewage treatment systems. No lasting waste, No harmful chemicals.
Will it start dissolving while I’m wearing it?
No. The pad only breaks down when exposed to liters of water, far more than the 30–80 ml of menstrual flow over an entire cycle. You can wear it with confidence; it stays intact during use.
Has this been tested by real people?
Yes, by over 100 women, including our own team, families, and friends. Their feedback has shaped what you’re seeing today.
Why isn’t there a size option?
Our flushable pad is designed to fit well, perform reliably, and flush safely without clogging. Multiple sizes can complicate that design, and could compromise how effectively the pad breaks down. Flushability and environmental safety are our top priorities. That said, we’re already working on expanded options for the future. Stay tuned!
Why isn’t there a larger size?
We understand some people prefer more coverage or higher absorbency. The current size strikes a careful balance between comfort, protection, and flushability. Making it significantly larger could affect how safely it disintegrates after use. But expanded variants are in the works, we hear you!
What if water leaks into the pad while I’m wearing it?
It’s designed for real life, so a little water from rain, damp clothes, or humidity won’t make it fall apart. The pad only starts to break down when fully immersed and agitated in large amounts of water, like in a toilet flush. You’re safe to go about your day.
What if I get caught in the rain or wear wet clothes for hours?
No stress. The pad stays intact during daily wear, even if you are damp or it’s raining. It’s engineered to hold up during regular use, and only begins to dissolve when completely soaked and flushed, just as intended.
I use cups or tampons, why switch to this?
Cups and tampons have their own challenges like sterilization, disposal, risk of infections. This pad offers reliable protection with easy, hygienic disposal. Just flush and go.
